About the Farmhouse
This German-American boarding house was built in 1866 and renovated in 2001. It is comprised of six bedrooms and four large full luxury bathrooms. The beds are all pillow top and wrapped with designer linens, comforters and towels. The heart of this home is the kitchen, which is stocked with every gadget needed to make a gourmet feast.The intention of the layout of the farmhouse is to promote “coming together.” We have accomplished this by creating an open floor plan, best described as an interactive kitchen. The living room and dining room are connected to the massive kitchen where the cook/chef is never ever hidden away. During the summer months we have a massive double tiered blue stone patio which features a Thermador outdoor grill dining table for 12, an outdoor fireplace and lounge furniture.
Like all great farmhouses, we have an L-shaped wrap around porch with white rocking chairs that invite you to do absolutely nothing. The grounds are open and pastoral, dotted by mature apple and pear trees. The event barn has slowly been rehabbed over the past 10 years and is now in its glory with a massive dining hall table, two huge lounges and a covered outdoor patio. The barn has a spread in the June 2016 Country Living Magazine. We can accommodate any type of event, square dance, pig roast, anniversary, birthday or disco!
