Hotel Fauchere:  Milford, PA  401 Broad Street Milford, PA 18337 (570)-409-1212

Hennings Local:  Cochecton, NY 16 Old Co Hwy 112 Cochecton, NY (845)-557-8122

The Heron:  Narrowsburg, NY 40 Main St  Narrowsburg, NY 12764 (845)-252-3333

If you are looking for a “city like” culinary experience on your weekend trip upstate, the Heron is your answer.  The decor honors the local area yet has a Brooklyn feel.  Located on the main street in Narrowsburg, it’s the first restaurant in the area worthy of making a reservation. (35 minutes from The Farm)

Millbrook Inn:  Pond Eddy, NY 1774 New York Route 97 Pond Eddy, NY 12770 (845)-856-777

Fat Lady Café: Kauneonga Lake, NY 13 Horseshoe Lake Rd Kauneonga Lake, NY 12749 (845)-583-7133

The Fat Lady delivers both for food and ambiance.  First off – the fact that it’s on the lake is fantastic.  You can sit outside and overlook the lake, and that can make your day or evening!  Definitely get a seat outside.  Food is average. (40 minutes from The Farm and right next to Bethel Woods Music Venue)

Alpine House German Smoke House: Honesdale, PA 1106 Texas Palmyra Hwy Honesdale, PA (570)-253-5899

I LOVE THIS PLACE!  GO! Located in Honesdale, in the Northern Pocono region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, The Alpine Wurst & Meat House has been a premier manufacturer of German sausages, smoked ham, Kassler Rippchen, cold cuts and meats for over thirty years. Also carrying a large selection of imported dry goods, we are sure to satisfy all your German cravings.  Here at The Alpine, the meats are only made the old fashioned way with the Old Country flavor and style.  The three on-site smokehouses assure you the best authentic smoky flavor; while providing the best quality sausages produced with the utmost care and attention. Along with the deli and butcher shop, The Alpine Wurst & Meat House Restaurant is located right next door. Every year thousands indulge on homemade German‐American Cuisine. Most meals feature homemade items, also available for sale in the store. The annual Oktoberfest is held every August outside under “The Tent”. Known as the largest in the Poconos, we have seating for over 1,000 people! Live music, a tremendous dance floor, great food and lots of beer make it an unforgettable event year after year. http://www.thealpineonline.com
